    On-Time Completion Rates
Aveda Institute Maine a Capilo School is accredited by NACCAS and uses its calculation for student placement based on each program offered. For our most recent annual reporting period, NACCAS records show our Cosmetology program has a placement rate of 100%.
On-time completion is defined by the U.S. Department of Education as anyone who graduates within the normal completion time. A student needs to complete all of their graduation requirements, including the required number of clock hours contracted for within their original contracted graduation date to be considered to have graduated on-time. If a student for any reason delays their original contract end date (such as family problems, day care issues, unplanned life events, or any other reason) they are not considered an on-time graduate. Please note that our graduation rates provided in the school catalog are based on how many students started the program and how many completed within the reporting period. A student must attend his or her scheduled hours with us at a high rate and take fewer leaves of absence to be considered an on-time graduate. The on-time graduation rate is 100%. Many students attend and complete the program at a somewhat lower rate, meaning many graduates are not counted in the On-Time Completion Rate.
    Median Student Debt
Many of our students use financial aid to help pay for school. A part of that financial aid may be in the form of student loans, with the balance needing to be paid back after leaving school. We calculate the median debt of students graduating from the program. “Median debt” means that half of students graduate with less outstanding in student loans than the number provided here, and half graduate with more. For students graduating in the 2012-2013 award year (from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013), the median federal student debt was $5,456. The median private student loan debt was $0. The median institutional financing plan debt was also $0.
